BANANA BREAD
(double recipe)

Ingredients
1 cup butter or Crisco
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
6 mashed over ripe bananas
4 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 cup of walnuts

Cream together the butter and sugar.  Add eggs and mashed bananas.  In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda, salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture.  Add nuts.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-60 minutes.

 

Peggy’s Banana Bread
Mix 2 packages of cream cheese together with one jar of chopped maraschino cherries (without the juice).  Cook banana bread in a cake pan.  Slice thinly and make sandwiches with creamy mixture.
